Shabana Rahman is the founder and Managing Director of Jute Connection, a minority women-owned business built on the belief that everyday products can be both beautiful and sustainable. With a strong passion for eco-friendly living, she launched the brand to offer high-quality jute bags that reduce plastic waste without compromising on design or durability.

What began as a home-based initiative has grown into a purpose-driven business focused on ethical sourcing, thoughtful craftsmanship, and long-lasting materials. Fiber Softening

Cutting & Stitching

The woven rolls are cut to size, printed with designs, and sewn into finished bags with reinforced handles for durability.

The treated fibers are combed, cleaned, and straightened into long, continuous ribbons called slivers to ensure uniform density.

Raw jute fibers are treated with oil and water (batching) to make them pliable and prevent breakage during mechanical processing.

The yarn is loaded onto industrial looms to weave the raw jute cloth. At this stage, the fabric can be laminated for waterproofing or dyed for color.
